School Leader Update: Nicole Silver

Dear James Baldwin families and staff,

I am pleased to announce Ms. Nicole Silver as the new principal of James Baldwin Elementary. Ms. Silver will be succeeding Dr. Dedy Fauntleroy who is ending her tenure at James Baldwin on June 30.

Principal Silver is an experienced school leader who has previously served at John Hay and Daniel Bagley elementary schools in Seattle. She was selected based on the depth of her experience as a principal, her focus on equity, and her desire to create the conditions that will enable the continued success of James Baldwin students and staff. She will begin her role as James Baldwin principal on July 1, 2023.

I also want to thank Principal Fauntleroy for her service to the James Baldwin community.
